FAQ

Common questions about delivery fees.

What platforms actually charge — and why LynkBite is built differently.

Uber Eats charges restaurants a 30% commission on every order in Canada, plus additional fees for promoted placement and other services. On a $50 order, that’s $15 taken directly off revenue before the restaurant sees a cent. LynkBite charges restaurants $0.
DoorDash offers tiered plans: Basic (15%), Plus (25%), and Premier (30%). Most restaurants default to the Plus or Premier plans. Customer-facing fees add another 10–15% service fee on top. LynkBite’s restaurant cost is $0 — only the driver pay applies.
On Uber Eats, customers pay a service fee (~10–15% of subtotal) plus a delivery fee plus tax plus tip — on top of menu prices that are often inflated to offset the restaurant’s 30% commission. LynkBite customers pay a flat $6 delivery fee — no service percentage, no menu markup. Use the calculator above to see the difference on any order size.
Marketplace driver pay varies widely and is not fully disclosed before you accept a delivery. LynkBite guarantees drivers a minimum of $12 per delivery — $6 from the customer’s delivery fee plus $6 (or 10% of the order) from the restaurant — with all details shown upfront before you accept.
Yes — LynkBite charges zero commission to restaurants. Restaurants pay drivers directly at a transparent rate. LynkBite takes nothing from order revenue. It’s currently in a pilot phase in the Greater Toronto Area. Join the pilot →
The pilot is focused on proving the model and growing the network. Future revenue paths include optional subscription plans for restaurants (analytics, marketing tools) and premium driver features — none of which cut into order revenue. The core zero-commission promise stays.
